Learning Resource Center
The Alaska Christian College Learning Resource Center (LRC) is located in two rooms at the south end of the administration building. The LRC is a center of teaching and learning. Its purpose is to fulfill information needs and to assist in the development of information literacy skills. The collection holds approximately 13,000 items in both print and non-print formats with emphasis in the areas of discipleship, Christian life, missions, theology, and general education. Materials may be searched through Destiny by Follett, Inc. The Christian Periodical Index is available to locate citations for evangelical periodical literature. Interlibrary loan services for both books and periodical articles is available through the Christian Library Consortium. SLED (Statewide Library Electronic Doorway) provides access to thousands of full-text articles through EbscoHost and many other sources. Other resources include, ATLAS, Contemporary Authors, Opposing Viewpoints in Context, and Reader's Guide Full-Text. Catalogs of other libraries in Alaska may be viewed through ALNCAT (Alaska Library Network Catalog). ACC students may also use the materials and services of the KPC Library.
